Imagine Eyes are present at the 13th Euretina Congress in Hamburg on September 26-29, 2013. San Antonio Hospital, Padova : the second AO retinal imaging center in Italy

An rtx1 Adaptive Optics Retinal Camera has been installed at the San Paolo Ophthalmic Center, San Antonio Hospital, Padova . The team led by Pr Giuseppe Lo Giudice is now the second Italian medical group to be equipped with the rtx1 technology, which enables cellular and micro-vascular imaging in the living retina. “As adaptive optics imaging reveals a number of important and previously invisible microscopic structures of the retina, we expect that this new technology will lead us to significant advances in understanding and managing several retinal diseases” says Pr Lo Giudice.


First rtx1 in India

Imagine Eyes has made the first installation of an rtx1 Adaptive Optics Retinal Camera in India. The camera was installed at the Narayana Nethrayala Hospital in Bangalore, elected 5th best hospital in oththalmology in India 2011, in the department led by Dr Rohit Shetty. Imagine Eyes and the rtx1 have previously gained publicity in India, in Ocular Surgery News in January this year.
