Adaptive optics findings in inherited retinal diseases

12 teams of ophthalmologists have published 28 studies that used the rtx1 Adaptive Optics Retinal Camera to investigate inherited retinal diseases (IRDs).

What have we learnt from these studies?

In IRDs, adaptive optics images provided different types of new findings:

  • Phenotype information
  • Cellular quantification
  • Detection of microscopic progression
