Award: Imaging Eyes’ Q-Phot project ranked 1st in the ASTRE challenge for innovation

October 6, 2014. Imagine Eyes, together with the CNRS Aimé Cotton laboratory, is awarded as a laureate in the 2014 ASTRE challenge for innovation organized by the Essonne General Council. The award is associated with a € 110,000 funding from the General Council to support the company’s Q-Phot project, who was ranked first by the ASTRE jury.

astre 2014The Q-Phot project is dedicated to the development and validation of new software for analyzing visual cells in high-resolution retinal images. This innovation will enable better detecting the sight-threatening diseases that affect retinal photoreceptor, and better assessing their progression and the effictiveness of newly developed therapies.

The Q-Phot project will allow  Imagine Eyes, in collaboration with the Aimé Cotton laboratory, to further enhance the clinical value of the rtx1 retinal camera, a product that stands out as world’s first imaging microscope for the retina.
