First-ever 3-D, ultra high-resolution in vivo images of retinal microstructures unveiled
Professor Drexler presented the first ever three-dimensional, ultra high-resolution images of retinal photoreceptor cells, captured in vivo using ‘adaptive optics’, to a distinguished group of research community and industry leaders during the Engineering the Eye II conference, held in Galway from June 19-21 of this year. These remarkable images, soon to be available on our site, were achieved using Imagine Eyes' mirao™ 52 Deformable Membrane Mirror combined with Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT).August, 2006 - Imagine Eyes and Ziemer Ophthalmic Systems team up to put adaptive optics based wavefront aberrometry into ophthalmologists’ hands. |
